A welcome from your P & C Association …
On behalf of our parent group, we welcome you to Andergrove State School. We have a strong and active P & C committed to helping the development of the students, teachers and the school in general. We do however rely on the support of all parents to ensure this continues into the future.
P & C meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 3.15pm in the hall meeting room. Everyone is more than welcome to attend. These meetings provide information to parents and act as a forum where you as a parent can hear first-hand and have input into the opportunities the school has to offer your children. This is a great way to become involved in your child's education and help support our various activities held throughout the year.
The P&C provide a number of important services to our school:
- Daily Tuckshop. We have a convenor in charge but we always need volunteers to assist in the tuckshop and we know your child would love to see you there.
- Uniform Shop – volunteers open our shop between 8.30am and 8.50am each Monday & Thursday
- Book Club- Twice a term.
- Special events- Fun Run, School Discos, Book Fair.
Last year our P&C also
- Paid for the buses so year levels could attend excursions and special events at a reduced cost.
- Subsidised Prep-Year 3 swimming lessons
- Subsidised Yr 4 Bike Education program
- Subsidised Year 5&6 Kinchant Dam camp
- Purchased resources for the library
- $10 000 put aside to build funds for a new junior playground
- $15 000 aside for an upgrade towards the Tuckshop upgrade.
We would encourage you to become an active member of our P & C Association. Your child will benefit from your interest in their education and our school will benefit from your involvement.
