There are many facilities available to members of Andergrove State School community.
Community hall
The community hall has a stage, state-of-the-art sound and multimedia facilities, a canteen and a meeting room. It is used for a variety of purposes, including performances, whole-school parades, presentation evenings, sport and activity sessions, and movie nights.
Technology
Two computer labs provide the latest in digital technologies to facilitate learning for whole classes. In addition, each classroom has an interactive whiteboard and access to wireless Wireless facilities are available across the school.
Pods of iPads are available for students in Prep to Year 3. Students in Year 4 to Year 6 are invited to bring their own iPad device (BYO-D) to school to access. Alternatively they may share the school owned iPad device with a partner.
Science laboratory
All classes have access to the facilities in the science laboratory.
Resource centre
The resource centre is bright, modern and well laid out. It is a favourite destination for students, teachers and parents. Students and parents are also welcome to browse and borrow before school. Our library is also the home of our Reading Room and before school Homework Club.
Classrooms
Our classes are accommodated in double teaching spaces and all buildings are air conditioned.
Special education facilities
All special education students are integrated into regular classes. To assist with learning there is a special education room with access to kitchen and laundry facilities. Wheelchair access is provided to ground floor classrooms, library, tuckshop, office and disabled toilet.
Grounds
A three-tiered, shaded oval includes a 300m running track, two netball courts, a hockey/soccer field and two cricket practice wickets. There is an enclosed multi purpose area containing a tennis court and basketball hoops as well as two playground and three shaded handball court areas.
